Meet Steve Harris
Steve Harris has worked in crisis and emergency management for more than 20 years and is also a Former Marine. His experience spans across local, state, and federal government, providing him a well-rounded understanding of the profession as a whole. Steve has worked on grant-funded projects with developed teams to ensure communities can access the assets and resource gaps identified in the emergency management program. These teams include Emergency Response, Search and Rescue, Volunteers, and Shelter Management.
Steve has worked in the trenches and understands the challenges that can make or break a program for people and agencies working in public safety.
Steve Harris is family-oriented and values time with his family. He has coached youth sports teams instructing in-game dynamics, teaching good sportsmanship, and the importance of being a leader. He is also a certified AFAA instructor, which he uses to lead group physical fitness classes. Steve acknowledges and values the importance of emergency preparedness throughout his daily activities; at home, on vacation, in the gym, or out on the ball field.
